Currently, I am not seeing clients while I transition to a new position and secure clinical supervision, in accordance with CA Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) guidelines. I appreciate your interest, and will update this page if and when availability resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions.

The following is for reference only and does not reflect current availability.

  • Before your first session, I typically offer a free 20-minute Zoom consultation to see if we're a good fit. This initial meeting allows us to get to know each other, discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, and determine if my approach aligns with your needs.

Research has shown that the therapeutic alliance—the relationship between therapist and client—is the single best predictor of successful therapeutic outcomes, so finding the right fit is crucial!

We'll review important logistics such as scheduling, fees, and policies. If we decide to move forward together, I'll email you my forms for e-signature.

If I'm not the right fit, I'm happy to provide you with referrals to point you in the direction of a therapist who may better suit your needs.

  • Therapy sessions are approximately 50 minutes each. Typically, sessions are scheduled once per week, at the same day and time each week. Consistent attendance contributes greatly to a successful outcome.

Once you've been attending regularly and are making progress towards our goals, I'm happy to schedule bi-weekly or monthly check-ins.

  • The length of therapy varies depending on individual needs. Some clients may find resolution in a few months, while others may require longer-term support. We'll regularly review your progress and adjust our approach as needed.

  • I require 24-hour notice for cancellations. Missed appointments or late cancellations will incur a fee equivalent to 75% of your session. Emergency cancellations will be handled on a case-by-case basis. After your 3rd “no show” or late cancellation, therapy services may be terminated. If an appointment has not been scheduled for more than 30 days, your file will be closed.

  • No, I don’t accept friend or follower requests from current or former clients. I know this can feel disappointing — especially after meaningful work together — but maintaining healthy boundaries is important for your privacy, confidentiality, and ongoing healing.

Social media can blur the line between personal and professional relationships, and this policy upholds mental health licensing laws and best practices.

  • If we run into each other at the grocery store or something, I will not initiate contact. This isn’t meant to be cold or distant, but to protect your confidentiality in therapy. Legally, I can neither confirm nor deny that I know you unless you decide to share that with other people. You’re welcome to smile and wave, but I will follow your lead.

  • Not for personal reasons. I don’t engage in ongoing contact with former clients after therapy concludes. Now is the time to spread your wings and fly!

If you need to reach out for something like records, a referral, or a transition-related concern — I’m happy to assist within reason.

  • For immediate support, I recommend calling 988 or going to your nearest emergency room.

The 988 Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24/7 in the United States

I am not currently seeing clients and cannot provide emergency therapy sessions.
